Playground Injuries:
Playground Injuries: Injuries in playground settings are becoming more and more frequent. It is a heartbreaking thing when someone's child is injured to the point of debilitation due to faulty playground obstacles.
From 1990 to August 2000, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has reports of nearly 150 deaths to children under the age of 15 involving playground equipment; at least 90 of these occurred in a home setting. To help prevent injuries from falls and other hazards on home playgrounds, the following safety tips are recommended:
1. Make sure that the playground floor is cushioned according to guidelines with an approved agent.
2. Make sure that this cushioning extends at least 6 feet beyond the edges of the equipment.
3. Make sure that the equipment is properly maintained.
4. Make sure that the playground s well lit
5. Make sure that there are no sharp edges on the euipment.
If your child has suffered injuries while in a home or public playground, you may be entitled compensation for your child's injuries. Please contact a personal injury lawyer immediately in order to protect your rights.
